The Data & Ethics Working Group (DEWG) is a collaborative research team using art to explore public interaction with data access, exchange and retrieval systems, and the ethical implications of data ownership.

At any given moment DEWG may or may not consist of: Elliott Burns, Susana Cámara Leret, Kevin Logan, Geoff Howse, Jack James, Josep Perello, Tadeo Sendon, Mike Thompson and Dave Young.

DEWG was co-founded in November 2013 at the ICT Art Connect event in Brussels during the conception and performance of Experiment #1: Terms & Conditions. To date DEWG has initiated three experiment projects creating collaborations with multiple academics, scientists and institutions including their artistic audio commentary (Experiment #3: Bridget) accompanying the exhibition Big Bang Data at Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona and the recent performance of Experiment #2: Consent at Museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam.

Further information on these and our future experiments can be found in Latest, under the DEWG filter.
